This listing is for a complete 2019 and newer 68RFE automatic transmission valve body equipped with the blue-connector solenoid block.

This updated valve-body design is commonly used in select 2019-up Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine and 68RFE six-speed automatic transmission.

Important 2019-Up Identification

The 68RFE valve body was significantly changed for the 2019 model year. The updated design uses a blue electrical connector and has changes to the valve-body casting, separator plates, hydraulic circuits, solenoid functions, and lower valve-body section.

This unit does not replace earlier 68RFE valve bodies equipped with gray or white solenoid-block connectors.

Before ordering, verify that your original transmission has:

• A 68RFE transmission

• A blue-connector solenoid block

• The matching lower valve-body design

• Matching electrical connectors

• Matching separator plates and casting configuration

Vehicle year alone should not be used to guarantee compatibility. Trucks may have different transmissions depending on engine, model, drivetrain, production date, or previous transmission replacement.

Vehicle Applications

Fits select:

• 2019-up Ram 2500 with 6.7L Cummins diesel and 68RFE transmission

• 2019-up Ram 3500 with 6.7L Cummins diesel and 68RFE transmission

Not all Ram 3500 trucks use the 68RFE. Some applications may be equipped with an Aisin transmission, which uses a completely different valve body.

This valve body is not intended for Ram 4500 or Ram 5500 trucks unless the original transmission and valve-body configuration are positively identified as a matching 68RFE application.

Installation Requirements

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Before installing the replacement valve body, inspect the transmission pan, filters, fluid, internal wiring, external wiring, cooler, and cooler lines. Any metal debris, clutch material, or heavy contamination remaining in the transmission can damage the replacement valve body or cause the original problem to continue.

The transmission should be filled with the manufacturer-recommended ATF+4 fluid and adjusted to the proper level using the correct temperature-based filling procedure.

After installation:

• Clear all stored transmission codes

• Verify proper fluid level

• Inspect for wiring or connector problems

• Complete the required transmission relearn procedures

• Perform any necessary module programming or calibration procedures

Programming requirements can vary depending on which components were replaced and the vehicle’s existing calibration.

This valve body is designed to correct problems caused by a defective valve body, sticking hydraulic valves, pressure-switch faults, solenoid problems, or related hydraulic-control issues.

It will not repair internal transmission damage such as:
